Christmas Centerpiece

Welcome!

Thanks for coming by, I hope everyone has had a great weekend. I am still enjoying all the homes on tours and it's been so fun to see how everyone decorates and displays beloved treasures!

Today for Met Monday, Make it for Monday and DIY Day, I'd like to show you how I reconstructed a centerpiece. I bought this pre-fab arrangement last year after Christmas, it was around $4.00. I love amaryllis and this was a pretty silk version

I especially liked the container it was in, it was worth the four dollars just to get the container!

I began the deconstruction process which mainly consisted of ripping it to shreds!!! A steak knife came in very handy! I cut the blooms off the top and discarded the rest
What I was left with was a beautiful silver container, and beautiful white silk amaryllis
I collected pine and berries that I had in my stash, filled the container with floral foam and made a compact centerpiece
I like how it turned out and it's much more functional for me now

It'll be featured as my centerpiece for Tablescape Thursday, be sure to come back and visit

I have a couple more projects that I hope to share this week: how I revamped my cedar wreath that you saw in the home tour, and a DIY ornament, you'll just love!

Thanks for coming by! I hope you are inspired to look at pre-fab arrangements in a different way!

Thank you Becca, Susan, Cindy and Kimba for hosting!
